Our design process is collaborative. The phases of our project design are carefully detailed for you before you commit to working with Land2c. We begin by studying what you want to do in your space—how you will use it. It is very important to us to provide you with superior client service throughout your garden design and development.

First, download the CLIENT QUESTIONNAIRE and return it. (For new construction please use the NEW CONSTRUCTION QUESTIONNAIRE). It helps crystallize your thoughts about your landscape goals and provides us with key information to consider. HOW DO YOU WANT TO USE YOUR SPACE?

When we receive your questionnaire we will arrange a visit with you at your site for a one hour COMPLIMENTARY VISIT. We will walk the area with you discussing your project goals and challenges. We will make suggestions and give you ideas to consider.

Next we develop a DESIGN PROGRAM which summarizes the ideas discussed and additional suggestions from us. It describes all of the elements of the project based on the goals established. We refer to it throughout the design process to ensure the design stays true to your goals. With it comes a PROPOSAL/CONTRACT describing our services and fees. It is broken into three design phases. The Proposal clearly defines what is received at each point in the design process. When it is signed and returned our design collaboration with you begins.

For organizational purposes Tim takes the lead in the overall landscape plan. He is in charge of the circulation and hardscape elements, connections between the house and garden, and the elevation/drainage aspects. Kat focuses on the plantings, artwork, outdoor furniture, planting containers, and smaller water features. But we collaborate closely throughout the design process.

We can work with the level of installation that fits your goals and budget. We can assist you finding good contractors. Each project is unique but the process described above is our basic framework.
